If you work for VIPKid, you probably know about this awesome hoodie. You see it in the educational training videos when learning about new types of classes. They used to be freely given to any teacher entering their 6th contract. Now, they run about $35, which is really not bad, as it's about the same price of a typical hoodie you would see in stores.
There was a teacher who ordered the hoodie and in place of it, received pots and pans! I think she got it in the end, but what a funny alternative. I will leave my YouTube link below of the unboxing of this awesome hoodie, where I do a little play off of this pan/hoodie unboxing situation. It's pretty entertaining, I must say! I was one of those that was like "meh" initially when it down to it. But then, a teacher had posted in one of the VK Facebook groups about it and so many people were saying they didn't care, and so on... Then I got to thinking. With each single contract, 6 months pass by, and this means I am to be entering my 3rd year with VIPKid! The only other job I had worked longer at had been my moms wonderful business - "The Organic Peddler & Peace of Art Cafe". Ultimately, I became privy to the fact that this was, in fact, a pretty big and awesome milestone for me and why not celebrate it with this pretty snazzy hoodie? Some things I learned about this hoodie that I did not know is it has VIPKid in Chinese, it has Dino on the back, and an awesome teacher friend (Rebekah Fogler) pointed out that it has pockets on the inside! This hoodie is AWESOME! Even though in the beginning I was uncertain about whether to get it or not, I truly could not be more happy with the decision of going for it! What a fun treasure to celebrate being with a company for 3 years and counting! 💖😊 Do you have the hoodie? What are your thoughts on it?

Hey everyone!
In these crazy times, I hope that all of you and your families are doing well and powering through. Recently, classes have started to slow way down with Outschool. There have been times where I have 0 or 1 student. Has this happened to you as well> Have you ever been in an Outschool class, and your student is not showing up, so you wonder to yourself... *What do I do? *Do I wait the whole time? *Do I just wait for 15 minutes, like with VIPKid? Well my friends, I have an answer for you! You are to wait 10 minutes. Once that 10 minutes has passed, end class and close that screen. Now what?! You can go into the classroom tab. Here, you write a comment saying something like: "Hello, I waited for 10 minutes and nobody showed, so I ended the class. I hope you and your family are well. I would love to have a class with you in the future, so please feel free to reschedule or check out my other classes. 😊 Many thanks, Teacher Kasey" You can either end it at that, or if you have extra time, you can go into the learners tab and basically say the same thing. Even copy and paste it. This way, the grown-ups and student can see that you did your best to reach them. I have a video on my YouTube Channel- ESL With a Gypsy Soul and a Unicorn Teachers podcast episode that covers all of this. If you are more visual, then go ahead and check out whichever you prefer in my links below. Best wishes and have an amazing week! You rock! 😊🦄⭐ |
